Cyber Monday Tech Picks on My List this Holiday

Cyber Monday always feels like a race. Every site flashes a “can’t miss” banner and before you know it you have a dozen tabs open and no clue what’s worth it. I’ve been there. This year I wanted to share a few tech products that are genuinely smart buys. Some I own, some my friends swear by, and all of them hold up long after the sale hype fades.

1. Google Pixel 10 (Pro or Standard)

Google Pixel 10 – expect around $749 for the base Pro model. One of my friends let me test his Pixel 10 for a weekend and I’ll admit something: this might be the phone that makes me make the switch to Android. The photos look crisp without being over processed and the AI editing tools actually save time instead of adding steps. Battery life is stronger than the older Pixels I’ve tried. If you want a fast and reliable upgrade, look for bundle offers that include free buds or chargers.

2. Samsung 55-Inch S90C OLED 4K Smart TV

Samsung S90C OLED 4K TV – expected around $1,299. A friend bought this TV last year and the first time we watched a movie on it I understood the OLED hype. The colors pop but still look natural and gaming feels smooth. If you skipped upgrading last season the S90C hits a sweet spot of performance and price. Just make sure you’re getting the S90C and not the older S95B.

3. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones

Bose QuietComfort Ultra – normally $429, often $329 on sale. I used the older QC 35 II for years and finally tried the Ultras at an airport shop. The noise cancellation is incredible and they stay comfortable during long flights. A couple of my remote-working friends say they’re the only headphones that survive a full day of meetings without fatigue. If you find them below $350 from an authorized store, that’s a genuine deal.

4. Anker Prime 140 W Power Bank

Anker Prime 140 W Power Bank – often $89 during Cyber Monday. Every year I tell myself I don’t need another power bank and every year I end up buying one anyway. This one is worth it. It can charge a laptop, phone, and tablet at once and the small display shows exactly how much power remains. I used the previous Anker model on a week-long trip and it never failed me. The new version charges even faster.

5. Meta Quest 3 VR Headset

Meta Quest 3 – $499 with frequent bundle credits. VR is finally finding its place. I tried the Quest 3 at a friend’s place and the mixed-reality apps are surprisingly useful. Fitness games, design previews, and interactive travel experiences all feel more polished now. It’s a fun addition if you want to explore new tech without investing in a gaming PC.

6. Logitech MX Mechanical Mini Keyboard

Logitech MX Mechanical Mini – usually $99 on sale. If you type a lot this keyboard makes a big difference. I’ve used mechanical keyboards before but this one feels perfectly balanced with great tactile feedback and none of the loud clatter. It pairs with up to three devices so I can switch between my Pixel tablet and desktop instantly. Small detail, big quality of life upgrade.

7. Google Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen)

Google Nest Thermostat – typically $179 during sales. A classic Cyber Monday pick that still saves energy. The Nest learns your schedule and adjusts heating or cooling automatically. It cuts bills quietly in the background and works with both Alexa and Google Home. Check compatibility before buying, especially if you have an older HVAC system.

How I Shop Cyber Monday Without Losing My Mind

Start with a short list. Decide what you actually need before you open a single deal site. Set alerts early with Honey or others so you can confirm if a discount is real. Read verified reviews and skip influencer hype. Watch return policies since some sales shorten the window. Use a rewards card because many add warranty extensions or purchase protection for electronics.

From Me to You

I love new tech but I’ve wasted plenty on gadgets that didn’t earn their keep. Everything on this list passed the everyday test for me or someone close to me. Cyber Monday isn’t about grabbing everything on sale; it’s about picking the gear that fits your life and actually improves it. If one of these makes your day smoother, that’s the win. If you stumble on a deal I missed, send it my way. I’ll be browsing too, probably with one tab open for work and another for whatever ends up in my cart.
